What additional assurance does verifiability provide beyond durable execution?
Durable execution ensures the agent runs to completion despite failures; verifiability provides cryptographic proof that the completed run happened exactly as recorded. Where durability guarantees forward progress, verifiability enables retrospective audit and tamper-detection. Together they offer both reliability and accountability. However, verifiability does not prevent execution errors or misbehavior; it only makes the run’s trail provably intact, without evaluating decision correctness.
