How does Catalyst handle security and identity for workflows compared to Restate?

Catalyst provides built-in workload identity and MCP tool authorization/policy, enabling fine-grained access control for workflows and agent runners. Restate relies on external identity management and does not offer native MCP tool policies. If you need to enforce permissions on AI-agent tool calls and manage identity across cloud-to-air-gapped environments, Catalyst's integrated security model reduces operational overhead. Restate may suffice for simpler deployments where external identity is already in place.
