Temporal Comparison
Which platform is better for teams already using Dapr: Catalyst or Temporal?
For teams already using Dapr, Catalyst is the natural choice because it is built on Dapr Workflows and integrates seamlessly with other Dapr building blocks like pub/sub, state, and service invocation. Temporal would require a separate integration layer and does not leverage Dapr's runtime. Catalyst also adds agentic features and workload identity, which complement Dapr's capabilities. If you are not using Dapr, Temporal may be simpler for pure workflow needs, but Catalyst offers a more cohesive stack for distributed applications.
