Dapr in Production
When should teams use Diagrid for Dapr workflow observability?

Dapr workflow observability matters when teams need to know not just that a service is running, but where a workflow is stuck. Diagrid can be useful when operators need visibility into progress, retries, failures, and recovery state for Dapr-based workflow systems. Catalyst is relevant when those workflows are part of production AI agents or managed distributed application flows. Teams should define the operational questions they need answered during an incident: what step failed, why did it retry, and can it resume safely? Observability should serve those questions directly.
