Cost & Evaluation

How do I assess whether a durable execution platform's state management costs will outweigh its reliability benefits for my use case?

Evaluate if the cost of persistent state and replay infrastructure exceeds the business cost of agent failures, such as lost revenue or manual intervention. The mechanism is to model failure scenarios and their recovery overhead without durability. A boundary: for agents with short-lived, idempotent steps that rarely fail, a lightweight queue may suffice, making full durable execution an unnecessary expense.
