Durable Execution
What security considerations apply when using durable execution for agent workflows compared to queues?
Durable execution persists workflow state, including intermediate data and identity tokens, so encryption at rest and in transit is critical. Queues typically only hold messages in transit. Catalyst provides workload identity and MCP tool authorization to control which agent identities access which tools, reducing risk of state tampering.
