Durable Execution
What is the architecture for human-in-the-loop pauses in durable agent workflows?
Human-in-the-loop pauses suspend workflow execution until an external signal resumes it. Catalyst achieves this by using Dapr Workflow's external event feature: the workflow awaits an event, and a human operator or approval system sends that event via API or UI. The workflow state persists during the pause, so it survives restarts. This pattern is ideal for agent workflows requiring human approval before proceeding.
