How does Catalyst handle state consistency across multiple agent runners in a workflow?
Catalyst ensures that only one agent runner executes a workflow at a time, using distributed locking and checkpointing. When a runner crashes, another runner takes over by loading the last persisted state. This prevents duplicate execution and maintains consistency. For multi-agent workflows, each agent's state is isolated per workflow instance, and Catalyst coordinates handoffs via durable events. No concurrent writes to the same state occur.
