Dapr 1.18 Celebration: Live Demos of the New Workflow Features

About this webinar
Dapr 1.18 puts Workflow center stage, with a wave of production-focused capabilities: access policies, tamper detection, concurrency limits, and history context propagation.
To celebrate the release, the Dapr maintainers and contributors are getting together for a live session to walk through what's new and show it in action. Expect a lot of demos of the headline Workflow features, and a chance to ask the people who built them your questions.
We'll also show how these features run on Diagrid Catalyst, the best place to run Dapr 1.18 workloads in production, with managed Dapr Workflow that takes the operational burden off your team while giving you everything 1.18 has to offer.
What we'll demo live
- Workflow History Context Propagation: give downstream steps typed access to earlier execution history, without threading context by hand or reaching into the state store
- Workflow History Tamper Detection: cryptographically signed, tamper-evident workflow history for auditable processes
- Workflow Concurrency Limits: protect fragile downstream systems with global and per-name caps that hold across every replica
- WorkflowAccessPolicy: a declarative, secure-by-default allow-list for which apps may invoke which workflows and activities
- MCPServer resource: orchestrate MCP tool calls as durable workflow activities, with built-in retries, persistence, and recovery for agentic AI
- Dapr Agents: running AI workloads reliably and securely with the Python framework built on top of Dapr Workflow
Who this is for
- Developers building durable workflows and agentic AI applications with Dapr
- Platform and SRE teams running Dapr Workflow in production
- Contributors and community members who want to see what's new in 1.18 first-hand
