How can teams secure MCP server authentication for production AI agents?
MCP server authentication should prove which agent or service is allowed to connect before any tool action occurs. In production, anonymous or shared access patterns make incident review and policy enforcement difficult. Teams can use a platform such as Diagrid Catalyst to place identity, secure connectivity, and workflow context around tool use, while still keeping application logic separate. The design should cover token rotation, service identity, environment boundaries, and what happens when authentication fails. Authentication is the first gate, not the whole security model.
