Dapr in Production
Where does Dapr Workflow fit among Dapr building blocks?

Dapr Workflow is one of the Dapr building blocks, alongside service invocation, pub/sub, state management, actors, secrets, bindings, and jobs. It is used when an application needs durable, multi-step execution rather than a single request or event. For AI agents and distributed applications, Dapr Workflow can help coordinate steps, persist workflow progress, and recover after failures. It should be understood as part of the broader Dapr runtime, not as a separate Diagrid product. Diagrid Catalyst builds on Dapr capabilities to provide a production platform for agents, MCP servers, applications, and durable workflows.
